PALMERSTON NORTH

We have come to stay at Grandma's for christmas and we are having a lovely time. Kate and Sam helped Grandma to decorate the tree (Lachie was the decorating inspector).
We have been to ride the train in the amazing sunshine. It was so hot we had to go for a swim in the wee pool at the train park. We started off in clothes but as we got brave, some just had to come off. Lachie loved sitting on the side of the pool kicking his feet too.We have had a wonderful time playing with all these balls in Grandma's "chipmunks" (pool full of balls). Sam has learnt to ride Grandma's two wheel bike! Woo Hoo!

FUN FUN FUN!

PLAYCENTRE PICNIC AND BED SOCKS

Today we went to Sammy and Lachie's playcentre christmas picnic. Santa came too! He even had a present for everyone. Kate got a harmonica, sammy got some cymbals and Lachie got some bells. We had a band. It was fantastic. We have been playing all afternoon. Mummy and Daddy don't seem to think Santa's presents are quite as cool as what we do!
When Mackenzie came to visit she taught us about bed socks, now Kate wears them most of the time but tonight she thought she might like a bed hat too. (Apparently bed socks help you sleep better!)

CONCERT TIME

On Friday we all went to Kate's Christmas Kindy concert. Mum TRIED to take some pictures of us all before we went...

The concert was great. This is the whole of her kindy, morning and afternoon children (Kate is in the back row, four across from the left).
This is the afternoon children (Kate is front middle).
The kids began with God of Nations.
They also sung 'Here is the star',
'The twelve days of christmas' and lots more.
We all thought Kate did a brilliant job, Sammy loved it all and can't wait til he can be on stage next year!

Today we put up the christmas tree. We did all of the decorating all by ourselves (Lachie supervised and pulled things off for replacement). We think you'll agree that its a masterpiece. Sammy got dressed up for the occasion and put his favourie jammies on!

Aunty Sarah, Mackenzie and Alex have been to visit us. We really enjoyed having them to stay!
Lachie and Alex loved to spend time together.
The girls.
Running races.
We all got up to lots of different adventures but our Mums weren't great at getting many pics, they said something about being quite busy...
We can't wait to see you all again soon. Thank you for everything.

The big machine on the left is called a drag line. We watched it getting unloaded by our driveway and have been to see it at work at our next door neighbours place. They had to widen the road to drive it down there. It is dragging gravel out of a big pond. We have even had a chance to stand on it, when its driver had gone home. We think it is awesome.
Sam has learnt to pedal and is very proud of himself!
Kate (second row, first on the left) loved performing at the bicultural festival at the Marae. Seven kindy's particiapted at this is Waikiwi Kindy in action.
To celebrate the sunshine, mum got the sprinkler out. Fun, Fun, Fun!

MORE HOLIDAY FUN

Next we went to Hawera for lots more adventures with our family. We went to Chipmunks in New Plymouth to celebrate Jack's 2nd birthday and had the best time.

We spent lots of time with Bradley and Jack. There were sunny days for bikingand windy, wet days for going to the pool.

We had another birthday party. This one was for Grandad. Check out the Humpty Dumpty cake Sam decorated.
And more sunny days for making tents and hanging out.
